About the Artist

Photo by Emily Rooney I grew up on Whidbey Island in Washington state and I graduated from high school in 1999. I earned a BA from Williams College in 2003 and have studied additionally in France, Scotland, Morocco, and Hong Kong. I also have an MA in Art History from Tufts University where I wrote my thesis on Tibetan skull bowls. Until 2014, I will be training in objects conservation at the UCLA/Getty Conservation Training Program in LA. I consider my greatest achievements to be learning some other languages and winning some fellowships for my choreography, painting, and conservation studies. I love samurai movies, swimming, geraniums, and Wagner.
